The Reason My Poor Little Blog Became Neglected........

Introducing Cayden Dean! Born on 6/24/08 after 16 VERY long hours of labor! Unfortunately Cayden spent the first week of his life in the NICU due to lung issues and I didn't even get to hold him until day 5! It was the hardest week ever leaving my precious little boy while I went home but I knew it was the best place for him to get all better!
Here are some photos of that journey.

He is now four weeks old today and growing so much right before my eyes. I am so thankful that God has blessed me with such wonderful children even though never in a million years would I think I would have FIVE of them! lol
Of course I have taken HUNDREDS of photos of him already. Here are some of my favorites over the last four weeks!

Wow, I cannot believe it has been SO long since I've updated my blog. I'll go into that whole story of the last four months on a different post when its not almost midnight! lol
This sweet little Baby Club cutie just came to me for her 3 month old photos. Oh my goodness how sweet are those little arms! Why can't chub be that cute on me?!
Anyway, enough rambling and on to the cuteness! Mom I hope you love these! More to follow in the next few days!

I have been SO horrible about blogging lately! I've been so focused with getting my website all up and running that my poor little blog has become neglected! I am going to make a pact to blog AT LEAST once a week!

Lori Robison Photography is participating in the National Charity Model Search to select “America’s Cutest Kid” and to raise funds for charity.

We’re looking for cute children ages 18 months to 14 years old to model for a portrait to be entered into the contest.

Models Search Special:

$75 entrance fee, which includes a 30 minute model session plus:

1- 8x10, 2-5x7's & 8 wallets(one pose) and one image submitted to the national gallery!

Finalists will be determined by online votes. Anyone may vote. Each vote is $1, and all proceeds from votes benefit the non-profit Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep. (NILMDTS.org)

Grand prize national winner will be determined from the 50 city finalists. Winners selected by photography and modeling industry experts.

Sweet baby Saige....

Meet precious little Saige. The best baby ever! She slept the entire three hours I was there and let me put her in pretty much any position I wanted! I have about 100 photos to narrow down but I couldn't wait in posting some! How sweet is she! And so tiny! Her original due date isn't until Feb.12th but she decided to come about 5 weeks early! Couldn't wait to see her four other brothers and sisters!

Well, my baby Camryn will be ONE in two weeks and I just cannot believe how fast this year has gone! It seems like we just brought her home yesterday and yet today she is walking all over the place! I think I will make a slideshow of her first year......I have tried to take photos of her at LEAST three times a week since she was born so it should make for an interesting slide show!(adding to to-do list)

I met this wonderful family at a great little park that she always takes them to. It was SO beautiful! Old houses, barns, boardwalks, swings and right on the river! We had a blast exploring all of the beautiful locations. There are a TON of photos that I love from this session but I promised mommy a sneak peak so I tried to go through really fast and pick some favorites.

Friday we could not ask for a more PERFECT day! It was about 75 degrees and not a cloud in the sky! So, I pulled the kids out of school early and headed to the beach to try and get some photos of the four of them for Christmas cards. It was crazy with all four and just me but I did manage a few cute ones! I think I'll use the second one for the card. What do you think?!

After TWO reschedules due to weather I was Finally able to photograph this great family! We met downtown for a fun City shot as well as some shots with the hundreds of year old Treaty Oak. The boys were as cute as can be too, though they probably dont want to hear that! lol I am Loving photographing so many beautiful families like this! This was the cutest family with GREAT names! Meet the Carlson Family. Little Sailor and Paisley, Oh my gosh, can we say cute?!....oh and of course their parents as well! We spent the afternoon at a beautiful park. The girls were a little shy at first but warmed up when I let them be my "helpers"! HOW cute are they?

Host a Portrait Party!!!

I am going to start doing portrait parties! What are portrait parties you ask? Portrait Parties are kinda like any other "party" you may have gone to, but WAY more fun! ;)
When someone wants to do a party, they are the 'HOST'...we then plan a day, where they invite all their friends, family, anyone they want, either to their home or to a outdoor location and we take portraits! Everyone will have a appointment time, and will get 20-25 minutes in front of the camera! There is no need to hang around for the whole party (unless you just want to!) Just come 10 minutes before your appointment, enjoy some snacks and drinks, and get some pictures taken! Its as easy as that!
Within 2 weeks after the party, your images will be hosted online, where you will proof and order them. You will then give your order/payment to the host, and he/she will deliver them to you when they are ready! So basically you get a FREE mini-session! How cool is that!
FOR THE HOST: So...why would you want to host one of these awesomely cool parties? Well, as the host you will get a free full 2-3 hour session, $50 in print credits, and a free magnetic fridge calendar with an image or two from your session! Its a win-win for everyone!

Because she is crawling and pulling up its almost impossible to get her to stay still. Let alone on an ottoman or a chair! EEK! I was running back and forth so much making sure she didn't crawl off the edge that I was sweating! lol Who needs the gym? Ya just need a hyper 7 month old to photograph!

Today it was threatening rain ALL day but we got a very brief period of sunshine this afternoon. My bedroom just has the perfect lighting and its big enough where I can move around and get down on the floor and spread out to take photos. Soooo, as usual my little one is my guinea pig! I wanted to try out different backgrounds and such and here is what I got........
The lighting was perfect! I love the way the fabrics look in the background...I can't wait to try them out on other people as well!

My Little Man is growing Up! Preschool Graduation...

This past weekend my little man "B" graduated from preschool! I can't believe how fast time flies and that next year he'll be at the "big school" with his big sisters. I wish I could capture every single days of theirs lives and preserve them forever..... Although I DO try! I know atleast they'll have LOTS of photos to look back on one day.

So, I went out and purchased my website layout yesterday. I was SO excited to get it today. I thought I would put everything on it and maybe have it up by this weekend. BOY was I wrong! WOW, I didn't know how much went into websites! I am totally lost!
So, I figure I should have it up and running by June 2009!!! Well, if I'm lucky then 2008.
Thank goodness for blogs! I'll just post my photo sessions here until I can figure out all this mumbo jumbo html!

Well, it seems as if everyone these days has a "blog" so I figured that I better jump on this bandwagon before its too late! Please bear with me as I navigate through unfamiliar territories!

I've decided to create this blog to document my journey of my obsession with photography and capturing those fleeting moments that would be lost in time if it weren't for me and my camera. Well, at least that's what I think....makes me feel important so just go with me on this one! lol

Check back often for recent photo sessions, as well as updates on my NEW website that I have decided to create! Not that I don't have enough to do with a growing business, a 4 month old, 5 year old, 8 year old and 9 year old as well as my three legged dog! This should be FUN!
